Everblades Receive Calla From Rochester

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush in coordination with head coach Malcolm Cameron announced that forward Brady Calla has been reassigned to the club by the Rochester Americans. This is Calla's first assignment to the ECHL and Southwest Florida.

Calla, 21, joins the Everblades after notching a pro career-high six points (1+5) and 14 penalty minutes in 32 games in his first full season with Rochester. In 46 career games with the Amerks, the Kelowna, British Columbia, native has tallied 11 points (3+8) and 25 penalty minutes. Prior to turning pro, the 6-foot-1, 205-pound forward played six seasons (2003-09) of junior hockey, totaling 173 points (62+113) in 321 career games with teams in Everett, Moose Jaw, Kamloops and Spokane. Calla was Florida's third-round (73rd overall) selection in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

Calla is expected to be in the lineup tonight against Gwinnett and will wear sweater #17.

Forward Brandon Buck returns to the Everblades after being recalled to Houston. Buck has now spent a total of 14 games with the Aeros this season and recorded his first two points (2a) on this last visit. The ECHL All Star rookie has appeared in 31 games with the Everblades and tallied 10 goals and 20 points with 18 penalty minutes.
