Salmon Kings Get Ellington Back From Moose

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today that defenseman Taylor Ellington has been re-assigned to the team by the Vancouver Canucks from the Manitoba Moose.

The Victoria, BC native is under NHL contract to the Canucks and rejoins the Salmon Kings after participating in 11 games with the Moose scoring one assist and seven penalty minutes. Ellington's time with Manitoba was his second stint of the season after first being re-assigned to the Moose on November 25th. The defenseman played two games in the AHL at that time registering no points or penalty minutes.

The 6-0, 200 lb. defenseman has participated in 27 games this season with the Salmon Kings recording 11 points (2g-9a) and 20 minutes in penalties.

Ellington was selected in the second round (#33 overall) by the Vancouver Canucks in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

The Salmon Kings roster now sits at 22 players (11 forwards, 9 defensemen, and 2 goaltenders).

The Salmon Kings' next series will be at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre as they host the Alaska Aces on Thursday, February 11th, Saturday, February 13th with puck drop for both games at 7:05. The series will then conclude on Sunday, February 14th with puck drop at 1:05 after the game on February 14th, the Salmon Kings will present their final "Skate with the Salmon Kings" for 2009-10 season.
