
Utah's Adam Estoclet Named ECHL Player of the Week

West Valley City, Utah. - Adam Estoclet of the Utah Grizzlies is the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for March 11-17.
Estoclet scored three goals, added six assists and was a +5 in four games last week as Utah collected five of eight standings points in California, going 1-0-0-3 and running their season-long unbeaten streak to seven-straight games at 3-0-1-3. Estoclet has four goals and 12 assists for 16 points in 12 games during Utah's latest stretch of 5-2-1-4 in their last 12 games.
The 23-year-old opened the week with an assist in a 2-1 shootout loss at Bakersfield on Wednesday and in a 4-3 shootout loss to the Condors on Friday. He tallied four points (2g-2a) in a 6-5 shootout loss at San Francisco on Saturday and ended the week with three points (1g-3a) and was a +4 in a 6-2 win at San Francisco on Sunday.
A native of Naperville, Illinois, Estoclet has 33 points (8g-25a) in 39 games with the Grizzlies this season and has added two assists in 18 games with Abbotsford of the American Hockey League. He is currently on an AHL contract with the Heat, who are the top minor league affiliate of the Calgary Flames.
Estoclet has 56 points (15g-41a) in 65 career ECHL games with Toledo and Wheeling and has 21 points (6g-15a) in 62 career AHL games with Abbotsford, Grand Rapids and Providence.
The Grizzlies become the first ECHL team to have four players named "Player of the Week" this season. Riley Armstrong (October 12-14), Brad Mills (November 26-December 2) and Colin Vock (January 28-February 3) were previously honored.
Utah had three of the top four leading scorers in the ECHL last week as Colin Vock finished third with four goals and three assists for seven points in four games and a plus-five. Jordan Clendenning finished fourth in the league in scoring last week with one goal and five assists for six points in four games.
On behalf of Adam Estoclet, a case of pucks will be donated to a Utah youth hockey organization by Sher-Wood Hockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Sher-Wood Hockey has donated more than 27,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
Utah is next in action Saturday at 8:05 p.m. and Sunday at 3:05 p.m. from Las Vegas.
The Grizzlies return home Wednesday, March 27; Friday, March 29 and Saturday, March 30 to host Colorado. Wednesday is a Wild $2 Wednesday with $2 Hot Dogs, $2 Fries, $2 Soft Drinks and $2 Draft Beers, plus $5 student tickets. Friday and Saturday is Fan Appreciation Weekend, that includes a post-game skate with the team after Saturday's game for the regular season home finale.
