
Unger Wins East Division Goaltender of the Year

Jackson Unger is the best goaltender in the East Division.
The Moose Jaw Warriors netminder was named the East Division's nominee for the Western Hockey League's Del Wilson Memorial Trophy on Thursday.
During the 2023-24 regular season, Unger led the WHL in wins with 35, going 35-15-0-2 in 54 games.
Unger posted a 0.908 save percentage, which was sixth in the WHL, and his 3.08 goals against average, which put him in 13th in the league.
The 18-year-old goalie set career-highs in wins, GAA, save percentage, minutes, shots, saves and shutouts.
He will now be up for the league award, which will be handed out in the first week of May.
