
Udrih Joins Westchester Knicks Coaching Staff

WHITE PLAINS, NY - January 25, 2020 - The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, announced today that it has added Beno Udrih to first-year head coach Derrick Alston's staff as an assistant coach.
Udrih arrives to Westchester by the way of à ½algiris Kaunas of the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL). Prior to returning to Europe, Udrih enjoyed a thirteen-year career in the NBA highlighted by a pair of NBA Championships with the San Antonio Spurs. Udrih was selected 28th overall by the Spurs in the 2004 NBA Draft and would notch career averages of 8.4 points, 2.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists through 831 games played. His domestic career also included time with the Sacramento Kings, Milwaukee Bucks, Orlando Magic, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, Detroit Pistons and the New York Knicks.
Born July 5, 1982 in Slovenia, the guard first played professionally in 1997 with the Hopsi Polzela. Udrih also played with Union Olimpija, Maccabi Tel Aviv and Avtodor Saratov prior to playing in the Association.
