
Two Months Down, Rampage Prepare For Long December

UTAH 2 - RAMPAGE 1 (SO): Chris Nielsen collected his first Rampage point, a goal in the second period, but Utah's Keith Ballard sent the game to overtime with one of his own at 11:07 in the third. After a scoreless five-minutes, Ryan Jardine knotted the shootout at one in San Antonio's fourth round. After two complete rounds Jeff Taffe broke the 3-3 tie to earn Utah the team goal.
RAMPAGE 1 - UTAH 0: After getting a feel for the scoresheet, Chris Nielsen continued to put the puck past Utah's goaltender and this time the Rampage made the lead stand as Patrick DesRochers stopped all 22 shots in the 1-0 shutout victory. Ryan Jardine added his second helper in as many nights and Gregory Campbell also got in on the assist.
CHICAGO 5 - RAMPAGE 2: Ryan Jardine scored an early first period goal from Eric Beaudoin and Chris Nielsen. Nielsen improved his consecutive game scoring streak to three. Chicago rallied with a power-play goal at 19:57 in the period sending the game to intermission tied at one goal a piece. After Chicago scored another power-play goal at 19:16 of the second period, Nathan Horton lit the lamp just 2:48 into the third period. Fifty-three seconds later, Tommi Santala received credit for the game-winning goal as Lukas Krajicek's momentum pushed the puck past starting goaltender Patrick DesRochers.

Nielsen is currently in the midst of a three-game scoring streak that started with a lone-goal in a 2-1 SOL at Utah 11/23 and continued with another lone- goal in San Antonio's 1-0 win at Utah 11/24. Chris also collected an assist vs Chicago 11/28.
SHOTS FROM THE POINT
Patrick DesRochers recorded his fourth career AHL shutout with a 1-0 win over Utah on 11/24. His last came on 3/24/02.
Ryan Jardine and Nielsen each currently have 3-game scoring streaks.
After playing 10 games in November, the Rampage will have 16 in December with eight each home and away.
Tuesday's shootout was the 3rd (now 1- 2) in franchise history.
