Tribute to Wrestling Set for February 20

Milwaukee, WI--The Milwaukee Admirals annual "Tribute to Wrestling" night, presented by ICAT Logistics, will take place on Sunday, February 20th when the Admirals host the Texas Stars at 5:00 pm. The tribute will feature appearances by King Kong Bundy, Sergeant Slaughter, The Honky Tonk Man, and George "The Animal" Steele.

King Kong Bundy worked for the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) from 1985 to 1988, and won the second shortest match in WrestleMania history when he mauled S.D. Jones in only nine seconds. Bundy then wrestled for several independent promotions around the United States, and in 1999 he won the American Wrestling Association (AWA) Superstars of Wrestling Heavyweight Championship. He is also two-time winner of both the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) American Heavyweight and Tag Team Championships.

Sergeant Slaughter is best known for his success in the NWA, AWA, and WWF. In 1984, he was named Pro Wrestling Illustrated's Most Inspirational Wrestler of the Year. He won the WWF Championship in 1991 and was inducted to the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004.

The Honky Tonk Man is the XJAM Heavyweight Champion and is currently working in the independent circuit. He previously worked for both the World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and the WWF, where he held the Intercontinental Championship for a record 64 weeks.

George "The Animal" Steele spent over 20 years as professional wrestler before retiring in 1989. He received a Slammy Award for the Best Performance by an Animal in 1987 and was inducted into the WWF Hall of Fame in 1995 and the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2005.

The Admirals are back in action this Friday, January 28 when they host the Peoria Rivermen at 7:00 pm, followed by a post-game concert by country music star Rodney Atkins.
