
Mathieu Carle Added to 2011 AHL All-Star Classic

SPRINGFIELD, MA - The American Hockey League announced today that Hamilton Bulldogs defenceman Mathieu Carle has been added to the Western Conference All-Star team for the 2011 AHL All-Star Classic presented by Capital BlueCross, that will take place Sunday and Monday, January 30th and 31st, in Hershey, PA.
Carle, 23, has played in 36 games with the 'Dogs this season posting 15 points (eight goals, seven assists) and 22 penalty minutes. The native of Gatineau, Quebec is tied for the team-lead in +/- rating with a +14 and his eight goals are already a new career-high. The 6-foot, 200-pound defenceman played in his first three NHL games with the Montreal Canadiens last season recording four penalty minutes. Carle also played in 31 games with Hamilton in 2009-2010, posting 15 points (five goals, 10 assists) and 26 penalty minutes. Carle was drafted in the 2nd round, 53rd overall by Montreal in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

The events will be televised nationally on TSN in Canada.
The Bulldogs will host the Manitoba Moose for their first ever School Day Game on Wednesday, January 26th at 10:30 a.m. at Copps Coliseum. All regular season Hamilton Bulldogs broadcasts on AM 820 CHAM will begin with a pre-game show 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
