January 25, 2011 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Chicago Wolves News Release
The Chicago Wolves have signed forward TIM MILLER to a Professional Tryout Contract (PTO).
MILLER appeared in two outings during a previous stint with the Wolves this season, recording one assist and a +1 plus/minus rating before being returned to the ECHL's Gwinnett Gladiators on Jan. 17. The 23-year-old forward ranks first on Gwinnett and is tied for ninth in the ECHL with 18 goals and holds second on the Gladiators with 31 points in 43 matchups this season.
Last year, the Davisburg, Mich., native recorded two points (G, A) and 18 penalty minutes in 21 outings with the American Hockey League's Syracuse Crunch, and 35 points (15G, 20A) in 44 ECHL outings with Gwinnett. Prior to turning pro, he spent four years at the University of Michigan, where he racked up 25 goals, 52 assists and 77 points in 166 games from 2005 to 2009. He made his AHL debut in one game with Syracuse following the end of his senior season at Michigan and tallied his first professional goal.
The Wolves travel to Oklahoma City on Wednesday to take on the Oklahoma City Barons at Cox Convention Center at 7 p.m. For more information, or tickets to Wolves home games, call 1-800-THE-WOLVES or visit chicagowolves.com
