Crunch Announce Details of Time Warner Cable 'Hockey Mom of the Year' Award

Syracuse, NY (January 25, 2011) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today the details of the Time Warner Cable 'Hockey Mom of the Year' award, presented by Frito-Lay and TOPS Friendly Markets.

From now through the end of the regular season, the Crunch are encouraging all young fans to nominate their mom for the Time Warner Cable 'Hockey Mom of the Year' Award, presented by Frito-Lay and TOPS Friendly Markets, by submitting a written essay (no more than 250 words) to describe why their mom should be selected.

Fans can submit their essays in one of three ways. Essays can be mailed to the Crunch office, located at 800 South State St. Syracuse, NY 13202, dropped off during regular business hours or at a Crunch home game at Guest Services, or submitted by email to info@syracusecrunch.com.

A panel of judges including Time Warner Cable, Frito-Lay and TOPS Friendly Markets management, Crunch players and a youth hockey representative will select the Time Warner Cable 'Hockey Mom of the Year,' presented by Frito-Lay and TOPS Friendly Markets.

The winning mom will receive four tickets to a Crunch game in which they will drop a ceremonial first puck and receive a prize pack from Time Warner Cable, Frito-Lay and TOPS Friendly Markets.

The Crunch continue their five-game home stand on Wednesday, January 26 vs. Houston at 7:00 p.m. at The Oncenter War Memorial Arena. Season and single-game tickets for the 2010-11 season are on sale and can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473- 4444, or by stopping by the Crunch office at The Oncenter War Memorial Arena, located at 800 South State Street in downtown Syracuse.
