
Travs Rally Late for One-Run Win

Frisco, TX - The Arkansas Travelers battled back and won a low scoring, one-run affair over the Frisco RoughRiders 2-1 on Saturday night. Kaden Polcovich came up with a clutch two out, two-run single in the eighth inning to turn the game in the Travs favor. George Kirby started for Arkansas and surrendered one run on three hits over 4.1 innings in his second Double-A start. He walked six and struck out only one. The Travs bullpen of Michael Stryffeler, Devin Sweet and Ray Kerr combined for 4.2 innings of shutout baseball to close out the game. Sweet was the winning pitcher and Kerr earned a save.
Moments That Mattered
* After two walks and a hit batsmen loaded the bases with two outs in the eighth, Polcovich came through with a line drive single to centerfield on the first pitch of his at-bat against lefty Sal Mendez.
* Devin Sweet returned to the mound for a second inning of work after the Travs took the lead and worked past a leadoff single in the bottom of the eighth as the runner never got past first base.
