Springdale, AR - The Northwest Arkansas Naturals won a sloppy series finale 6-2 over the Arkansas Travelers on Wednesday night at Arvest Ballpark.

Arkansas committed four errors in the contest.

RHP Albert Suarez struck out a career-high 10 batters in the start which is also a new 2015 season high for any Travs pitcher. Arkansas committed two of the four errors behind Suarez who surrendered two-run home runs, both immediately following the follies. Suarez worked six innings and allowed four runs (two earned) on five hits with no walks and the 10 strikeouts.

After SS Ramon Torres reached on an error to lead off the game, CF Bubba Starling blasted a two-run home run to put NWA up 2-0.

Trailing 2-0, the Travs tied the game 2-2 with single runs in the third and fourth innings thanks to a Naturals error and LF Ruben Sosa RBI double.

1B Frank Schwindel put the Naturals back up in the fourth with another NWA two-run home run.

The Naturals scored twice more in the eighth to take the 6-2 advantage.

Travs SS Drew Maggi and C Raywilly Gomez both finished 2-for-4.

RF Cal Towey drew a walk in the third inning to extend his consecutive games on-base streak to 19. CF Chad Hinshaw singled in the fifth to extend his streak to 16.

Arkansas stole three bases in the game and is 18-for-18 in its last 18 stolen base attempts.

With the loss, the Travs remain three games ahead of the Springfield Cardinals in the Texas League North second half standings.

Arkansas and Springfield will begin a four-game series on Thursday at Hammond Field. First pitch on Thursday is scheduled for 7:10 p.m.
