Riders August 6-9 Homestand Jam-Packed with Promotions

FRISCO, TEXAS (AUGUST 5, 2015) - The Frisco RoughRiders return to Dr Pepper Ballpark on Thursday, August 6 to begin a four game set against the San Antonio Missions (San Diego Padres). The Riders will host four straight nights of fun, affordable family entertainment, unique ballpark promotions, tasty food and beverage options, and the future stars of the Texas Rangers in action. Sunday's 6:05 p.m. start is the lone exception to the Riders' standard 7:05 p.m. games.

The homestand kicks off with another Thirsty Thursday, featuring $1 domestic and $2 craft brews from 6-8 p.m. On the 7th, it's Stars Wars Night at Dr Pepper Ballpark, complete with iconic characters from the epic space opera and a post-game fireworks show. On Saturday, the first 2,000 fans will take home a free Derek Holland bobblehead and on Sunday the first 2,000 kids will receive a free Scorched Red Jersey Giveaway presented by InTouch Credit Union.

Below is the day-by-day rundown of the promotional activities for the August 6-9 home stand.

THURSDAY, AUGUST 6 (7:05 p.m. vs. San Antonio)

- Thirsty Thursday - Fans 21-and-over can enjoy $1 domestic and $2 import draft beers from 6-8 p.m. Dr Pepper fountain sodas are also offered for just $1

- Dr Pepper 4 for 44 Night - This special package includes 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs and 4 Dr Peppers for only $44.

- "Groovy Grubesday" - DFW social media legend Michael Gruber (a.k.a. Grubes) will serve as the night's "Ambassador of Fun" and his legion of over 30,000 Twitter followers will receive special incentives and experiences during Thursday home games

- Kids Run the Bases following the game

FRIDAY, AUGUST 7 (7:05 p.m. vs. San Antonio)

- Star Wars Night at Dr Pepper Ballpark - The force will be strong inside Dr Pepper Ballpark as the Riders battle the Missions. Meet Star Wars characters throughout the evening and stick around after the game for Fireworks that are out of this galaxy.

- Post-Game Fireworks Show

SATURDAY, AUGUST 8 (7:05 p.m. vs. San Antonio)

- Derek Holland Bobblehead Giveway- The first 2,000 fans will take home a free Derek Holland Bobblehead featuring the former Rider and current Texas Rangers pitcher donning a Scorched Red RoughRiders jersey.

- Kids Run the Bases following the game

- Saturday Night Post-Game Party & Concert - Fans are invited to stay after the game for live, local music by Brad Stinson and enjoy drink specials at the Bull Moose Saloon

SUNDAY, AUGUST 9 (6:05 p.m. vs. San Antonio)

- Kids Sunday FunDay, featuring a Pre-Game Catch on the Field from approximately 5-5:30 p.m.

- Kids Scorched Red Jersey Giveaway - The second of three nights that kids (12 & under) can collect all three new RoughRiders jerseys. The first 2,000 kids (12 & under) take home a free Scorched Red RoughRiders jersey presented by InTouch Credit Union.

- $1 Ice Cream Sandwiches all game

- "Raising Cane's Grand Slam Sundays" -- Four (4) tickets, four (4) souvenirs and four (4) Raising Cane's Three Finger Combo vouchers for $39.50

- Post-Game Fireworks Show

After an off day Monday, August 10th, the RoughRiders will play six straight nights at Dr Pepper Ballpark from August 11-16. Highlighting the promotional slate will be another Thirsty Thursday (Aug. 13), a pair of Fireworks Nights on Friday the 14th and Sunday the 16th, Faith Night featuring a post-game concert from recording artist Jason Castro, and a Kids Backpack Giveaway.
