
Training Camp Starts Friday

SAN DIEGO â The San Diego Gulls will start training camp Friday at the San Diego Ice Arena in Mira Mesa. Sessions will take place Monday-Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. The Iceoplex in Escondido will also host workouts on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday at 11:30 a.m. All practices are open to the media and public.

The ECHL season will not be affected by the NHL lockout. The preseason will begin as expected when the Gulls take on the Long Beach Ice Dogs in two games. The second match-up will be a home game at the San Diego Ice Arena on Sunday, Oct. 17 at 5 p.m. For a complete schedule log on to www.sandiegogulls.com
The regular season is slated to begin Friday, Oct. 22 in Long Beach with the home opener scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 23 against Fresno. Game time is 7:05 p.m. and fans will receive rally towels and magnetic schedules to kick off the new season. Season ticket packages are still available and individual tickets are now on sale at the Sports Arena Box Office. For information contact 619-224-GOAL, ext. 7.
