Idaho Steelheads News Release

BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Steelheads will take to the ice on Monday, October 11th at the Bank of America Centre with approximately 30 players invited to training camp. Originally, the Steelheads were to hold camp in McCall as they did last year, but have decided to train on home ice in light of next weekends' preseason travel to British Columbia for two games (Friday, October 15th in Chilliwack - near Vancouver and Saturday, October 16th in Duncan - on Vancouver Island).

Head Coach John Olver, "After winning the Championship last spring and ending the season on such a high, we're excited to get back on the ice. I'm pleased to have a strong nucleus of players returning from last season, along with the new talent that Phoenix and Utah will be providing us." Olver added, "I expect we'll have a very competitive camp, with about 30 players fighting for 20 roster spots, and especially amongst the forwards where we'll have 17-18 guys and we can only keep 13."
