
Toros Acquire Andre Brown

AUSTIN, TX (November 3, 2008) - The Austin Toros announced today that the team has acquired forward Andre Brown and waived guard Kris Collins.
Brown, a 6-9, 245-pound forward from DePaul University appeared in four games this season for the Charlotte Bobcats and averaged 1.0 point and 3.8 rebounds per game.
Along with the Bobcats, Brown has also played for the Memphis Grizzlies and Seattle SuperSonics (now Oklahoma City Thunder) and has played in 75 total games in NBA career.
During his collegiate career for the DePaul Blue Demons, Brown appeared in 107 games and averaged 10.7 points, 8.0 rebounds and shot .500 from the field. As a senior (2003-04), Brown played 32.2 minutes per game and shot a career-high .570 from the field.
Brown will be in uniform for today's game against the Dakota Wizards and will wear #34. Tip-off is set for 11:00 a.m. at the Austin Convention Center.
