December 3, 2008 - NBA G League (G League) News Release
TOLLIVER ASSIGNED TO AUSTIN TOROS; MAHINMI RECALLED TO SPURS:
The San Antonio Spurs today assigned rookie center Anthony Tolliver to the team's NBA Development League affiliate Austin Toros. Additionally, the Spurs recalled second year center Ian Mahinmi to San Antonio following his two-week assignment in Austin. Tolliver becomes the NBA Development League's ninth player to be assigned during the 2008-09 season.
TUESDAY NIGHT HIGHLIGHTS...top performers from Tuesday's game
Carl Elliot scored 20 points to lead seven players in double figures as the Sioux Falls Skyforce defeated the Fort Wayne Mad Ants for the second game in a row, 111-98.
Michael Joiner had 19 points and 11 rebounds, Frank Williams scored 17 points, Bobby Jones and Gary Forbes added 14 each and Chris Alexander netted 13 for the Skyforce .
Ron Howard had 30 points and nine rebounds, Dewitt Scott scored 18 points and Chris Hunter added 17 points, 12 boards and five blocks for the Mad Ants.
ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS...a look at D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games
19 players with D-League experience competed in eight NBA games last night, four as starters. Here are the highlights:
Jose Juan Barea finished with 15 points and six assists and in 25 minutes of play for the Dallas Mavericks. Fellow teammate, Brandon Bass contributed 14 points and 5 rebounds.
Denver's Dahntay Jones scored nine points and recorded 5 assists in the Nuggets 132-93 win over the Raptors.
C.J. Miles recorded eight points for Utah as the defeated the Sacramento Kings 99-94.
Anthony Roberson, of the New York Knicks, netted six points and three rebounds.
