ERIE - The NBA Development League Erie BayHawks defeated the Rio Grande Valley vipers in the third game of a five game, season opening road trip.
Ivan Harris was the game's high scorer with 22 points to lead the BayHawks. Erik Daniels had 19 points; Oliver Lafayette contributed 16, Maureece Rice had 14 and Cliff Clinkscales came off the bench to add 13. Starter, Jackie Manuel was the sixth BayHawk in double figures with 12.
The BayHawks started slowly, falling behind by as many as 12 early in the game. A furious pace in the third quarter had the Bayhawks up at times by more than 20 points. Next up the BayHawks to head north to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to take on the SkyForce, Friday night with play by play action starting at 8:00 p.m. on Jet Radio 1400 AM.
