66ers ask for food donations on Opening Night

Tulsa, Okla., December 3, 2008 - The Tulsa 66ers announced today that they are looking for fans to dish an assist to families throughout eastern Oklahoma by donating non-perishable food items on Opening Night, Friday, December 5. The 66ers will take on the Albuquerque Thunderbirds at 7 p.m. in the first-ever regular season NBA Development League game held at the SpiritBank Event Center. All food donations will go directly to benefit the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.
"Our franchise as a whole is looking at doing numerous things to help our community throughout the year," 66ers President Jim Brylewski said. "With the help of our fans on Opening Night, we can change the lives of many families during the holidays."
With two food item donations, fans will receive a Buy One, Get One Free ticket voucher, which is redeemable for any 66ers home game this December.
Other festivities surrounding Opening Night for the 2008-09 NBA D-League season include a free Oklahoma City Thunder pennant give-a-way to the first 1,000 fans, a special appearance by Myron Noodleman, and a free post-game autograph session with the entire 66ers roster following the game.
