Thunderbirds Road Weekend Series Starts Thursday, December 3

Albuquerque, NM - December 3, 2008 - Through this weekend the Albuquerque Thunderbirds (Tbirds) will play three (3) games on the road against three (3) different NBA D-League teams. Even though the Tbirds will not be playing at home, the games can still be seen live on Futurecast (see below) or by visiting www.abqtbirds.com. Each game can also be heard live on the radio on KDEF 1150 AM.
The Tbirds, including high scorers Will Conroy (21 pts, 5.5 rebs, 9 asts), Cheyne Gadson (20 pts, 2.5 rebs, 4 asts) and David Monds (17 pts, 15.5 rebs), will be working hard to bring home wins for their Albuquerque fans.
On Thursday, December 4 at 6pm CST/5pm MST the Tbirds will be in Des Moines, IA going up against the Iowa Energy who are 2-0. The Tbirds will face the Energy's Courtney Sims who is this weeks D-League Player of the week. On Friday, December 5 at 6pm CST/5pm MST the Tbirds will be travelling to Tulsa to contend with the 66ers who are 0-2. In Tulsa, the Tbirds meet Oklahoma City Thunder center, Steven Hill, who has been assigned to the Tulsa 66ers. Hill (7-0, 245) saw action in one regular season game with the Thunder. The Tbirds finish up a weekend of games against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on Sunday, December 7 at 4pm EST/2pm MST. The Mad Ants are 1-2 and play the Iowa Energy before playing the Tbirds.
