66ers Holiday Spirit in Full Gear

The 66ers players will be visiting and touring the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma on Wednesday. Interviews and media requests are available with players following the tour of the food bank. The 66ers dance team will be assisting with the Bixby Chamber/Bixby Community Outreach Center's "STUFF A BUS" event on Saturday. The event will boost donations of toys and clothes for local families in need during the holiday season. The 66ers have already visited the Children's Hospital and spent an afternoon teaching kids at Central Elementary the values of reading every day.

Opening Night Hoop-la and Holiday Cheer

The Tulsa 66ers are looking for fans to dish an assist to families throughout eastern Oklahoma by donating non-perishable food items on Opening Night, Friday, December 5. The 66ers will take on the Albuquerque Thunderbirds at 7 p.m. in the first-ever regular season NBA Development League game held at the SpiritBank Event Center. All food donations will go directly to benefit the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.

With two food item donations, fans will receive a Buy One, Get One Free ticket voucher, which is redeemable for any 66ers home game this December. Other festivities surrounding Opening Night for the 2008-09 NBA D-League season include free Oklahoma City Thunder pennant give-a-ways to the first 1,000 fans, a special appearance by Myron Noodleman, and a free post-game autograph session by the entire 66ers roster following the game.

66ers Acquire Forward Ronald Dupree

The Tulsa 66ers announced today the acquisition of small forward Ronald Dupree. The 6'7" player out of Louisiana State University was most recently in the Cleveland Cavaliers training camp. Dupree has played in a total of 154 NBA games since the 2003-04 season, averaging 3.6 points and 2.2 rebounds while shooting 43 percent (217-506) from the field. During the 2007-08 season, Dupree played in nine games for the 66ers, averaging 17.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.0 steals prior to receiving a Gatorade NBA Call-up on April 3.
