Toronto Rock Acquire Bill McGlone and Josh Wasson

TORONTO -The Toronto Rock have acquired Chicago Shamrox forwards Bill McGlone and Josh Wasson during an NLL dispersal draft held this afternoon.

McGlone tallied 21 points (10 goals & 11 assists) during the 2008 season with the Shamrox and was a two time All-American while playing on the University of Maryland's field lacrosse team before being drafted by the Shamrox in the 2006 NLL Entry Draft.

During the 2008 season with Chicago, Peterborough native Josh Wasson accumulated 31 points (12 goals, 19 assists) and collected 68 looseballs.

Both McGlone and Wasson enter their third season in the NLL in 2009.

The Rock also announced a slight home schedule change this afternoon including a revision that brings the Boston Blazers to Toronto on Saturday April 3rd instead of the Chicago Shamrox as originally scheduled. The rest of the Toronto Rock home schedule remains unchanged.

The Rock road game scheduled for Saturday January 24th in Rochester against the Knighthawks has been moved to Saturday January 31st at 7:35 p.m.

The Toronto Rock will announce the final 23 man roster within the next week.
