
National Lacrosse League Announces Revised 2009 Season Schedule

The National Lacrosse League has announced a revised schedule for the 2009 regular season. The regular season will begin on January 3, with contests in Buffalo, Portland and Sunrise, Florida, where New York and Toronto meet in the inaugural Florida Lacrosse Cup Game. The revised schedule includes a return of lacrosse legend Gary Gait to Colorado, when the Mammoth host the Rochester Knighthawks on April 3.
Twelve teams will compete for the Champion's Cup in 2009. "We look forward to our 12 NLL franchises competing in what promises to be a thrilling 2009 season in this, our 23rd year", said NLL Commissioner Jim Jennings.
