The Toronto Marlies posted a record of 1-0-0-1 in two games against the St. John's IceCaps, AHL affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets, this past week. On Friday night, Toronto defeated St. John's by a score of 3-2. Petter Granberg, Peter Holland and Sam Carrick scored for Toronto, while Drew MacIntyre earned his 15th victory of the season. The Marlies went 1-for-4 on the powerplay and 3-for-4 on the penalty kill. Toronto outshot St. John's 37-29.

On Saturday night, the Marlies fell to the IceCaps by a score of 5-4 in a shootout. Wade MacLeod, Peter Holland (2), and T.J.

Brennan tallied goals for the Marlies, while Drew MacIntyre made 22 saves in the loss. Toronto went 2-for- 4 on the powerplay and 3- for-4 on the penalty kill.

Look Ahead:

The Marlies will take to the ice four times this coming week.

Toronto travels to Des Moines tonight for a 7:05 p.m. (CST) game against the Iowa Wild, AHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild. Brian Connelly leads the Wild in scoring with 19 points.

On Friday night, the Marlies travel to Illinois for a 7:30 p.m. (CST) game against the Chicago Wolves, AHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues. The Wolves are led in scoring by Corey Locke, who has 25 points in 33 games.

After a rare weekend off, Toronto will play back-to-back games against the Rockford IceHogs, AHL affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks and the Milwaukee Admirals, AHL affiliate of the Nashville Predators. The Marlies and IceHogs square off on Monday at 1 p.m. (CST) and Toronto travels to Milwaukee on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. (CST) game.
