Peter Boyd Released from PTO

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Jan. 15, 2014) - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers have announced that forward Peter Boyd has been released from his professional tryout contract (PTO).

Boyd signed his PTO on Jan. 8 and played three games for the Sound Tigers in which he collected one assist. He will return to the South Carolina Stingrays (ECHL), where he has 28 points (11 goals, 17 assists) in 33 games.

The Sound Tigers will play three games in three days this weekend. They travel to Manchester for a Friday night game against the Monarchs before returning home to face the Portland Pirates Saturday night and Hartford Wolf Pack Sunday afternoon.
