Rockford, Ill.- The Rockford IceHogs (18-17-3-2) host the Abbotsford Heat (24-13-1-1) this morning for a school day game with an 11 a.m. puck drop at the BMO Harris Bank Center.
Today marks the second meeting between the Hogs and the Heat this season. The last meeting came on Nov. 20 at the BMO where Rockford fell behind early and was unable to comeback as they lost 4-2 to the Heat.
With over 4,000 students from Rockford Public School District in attendance, today's game is sold out. For tickets to any other IceHogs home game click here, call (815) 968-5222, or stop by the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office.

Rockford's special teams were key in helping the club pick up back-to-back wins over the weekend. The Hogs penalty kill held the Lake Erie Monsters off the board in both games over the weekend, going a perfect 10-for-10, while the power play finished four for seven (57.1%). The Hogs swept the Monsters in the back-to-back weekend set, collecting four points.
Forward Jeremy Morin helped get the IceHogs back to their winning ways, notching a point in each of Rockford's three games during Week 15. Morin shows points (3g-5a) in six of his last seven tilts, and ranks tied for fifth on the club's scoring chart with 20 points in 24 games this season.
Next Home Game: Mon., Jan. 20 vs Toronto Marlies at 1 p.m. Rockford hosts another day game, this time against Toronto. While enjoying the day off for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the IceHogs are giving away drawstring bags to the first 1,500 kids (14 and under) at the game courtesy of Pepsi.
