The Marlies posted a record of 1-1-0-0 this past week.

On Friday, Toronto traveled to New York where they were defeated 5-1 by the Rochester Americans, AHL affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres. Binghamton native, Jerry D'Amigo recorded Toronto's lone goal late in the third period. Jussi Rynnas stopped 24 of 29 shots in the loss. The Marlies went 0-for-3 on the powerplay and 4-for-5 on the penalty kill. Friday marked the first time in six meetings this season that the Marlies have fallen to the Amerks.

In the second half of back- to-back games, the Marlies returned home to host the Hamilton Bulldogs, AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens. Toronto earned a 4-2 victory, pushing their record to 7-3-0-0 against the Bulldogs this season. Nicolas Deschamps recorded his first multi-point game of the year, registering one goal and two assists. Jussi Rynnas made 26 saves to earn his seventh victory of the season.

Look Ahead:

Toronto will play their second consecutive game against division rival, the Hamilton Bulldogs, AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, tonight at Ricoh Coliseum. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. Gabriel Dumont leads the Bulldogs in points, having recorded 25 in 41 games. Goaltender Robert Mayer has posted a record of 8-10-3 in 23 starts this season.

This weekend, the Marlies will play back-to-back home games. On Saturday, Toronto plays host to the Chicago Wolves, AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks. Puck drop is set for 3 p.m. The Wolves are led by AHL veteran Darren Haydar, who has 30 points in 37 games. Chicago currently ranks ninth in the Western Conference with 49 points.

On Sunday, Toronto returns to the ice at Ricoh Coliseum to host the Texas Stars, AHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars. Matt Fraser leads the Stars in points with 31. Texas currently ranks first in the Western Conference with a league best 61 points. Toronto went 1-for-6 on the powerplay and 2-for-2 on the penalty kill.
