GLENS FALLS, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators ended a two-game skid with a 3-0 victory over the Adirondack Phantoms at the Glens Falls Civic Center tonight. Robin Lehner tended goal for the B-Sens helping his team to the win and earning his third shutout of the season with a 29 save performance.
Corey Cowick put the B-Sens on the board at 1:05 of the second period as he netted his seventh goal of the season off a feed from Dustin Gazley. The assist was Gazley's first American Hockey League point. Jean-Gabriel Pageau would also also draw an assist on the play.
Danny New doubled Binghamton's lead at 17:59 of the third, capitalizing on a B-Sens power play with help from Cole Schneider and Eric Gryba.
Newcomer Brett Lebda earned his first point in a B-Sens uniform and put the game out of reach for the Phantoms as he scored an empty net tally with just 1:36 to go in regulation.
With the victory Lehner improves to 17-7-1 on the season. Brian Boucher started in goal for the Phantoms tonight, making 26 saves as he fell to 2-3-0 on the season.
