Albuquerque Isotopes News Release

Isotopes (41-32) and New Orleans Zephyrs (38-35) were suspended due to rain and lightning, with the Z's holding a 2-0 lead in the top of the fifth Thursday night at Isotopes Park. The game will be completed tomorrow, Friday, June 22 at 5:00 PM, with gates opening at 4:00 PM. Thirty minutes after the completion of the contest, the 'Topes and Zephyrs will play a seven-inning regularly-scheduled contest. This marks the first time an Isotopes home game has been impacted by weather this season, and the first suspended game since August 30, 2010.

Tickets from Thursday night's suspended game can be exchanged for a ticket of equal or lesser value to any other Isotopes non-restricted home game. Tickets for Friday night's game are good for both games.

The Zephyrs scored a run in the first on an RBI single from Mike Cervenak and added another in the fifth on a fielder's choice from Chris Coghlan when a heavy downpour descended on Isotopes Park. After a one-hour delay, the contest was suspended with two runners on base in the top of the fifth.

After the suspended game is completed, the Isotopes and New Orleans will finish up their four-game series with 'Topes right-hander John Ely (7-4, 3.16) battling Z's righty Tom Koehler (7-5, 3.10).

Albuquerque's eight-game homestand rolls on with a camo hat giveaway tomorrow, fireworks on Saturday and a live performance by Rally on Sunday. Tickets for any Isotopes game may be purchased at the Isotopes Park Box Office, at Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 1-800-745-3000, or on-line at www.abqisotopes.com or www.ticketmaster.com.
