TACOMA, Wash.-Joe Martinez worked seven shutout innings, and the Aces offense took care of the rest Wednesday night, as Reno rolled to a 9-0 victory over the Tacoma Rainiers at Cheney Stadium.

Martinez (7-3) stretched his consecutive-scoreless-inning streak to 19.0 and became the first pitcher in Aces franchise history to earn a win in seven-straight starts.

Reno now has won 16-consecutive games over the Rainiers and is 19-6 against clubs inside its own division. The Aces are winners of seven of the last eight games and 14 of the last 16. The club's 15 wins this month are most in all of Minor League Baseball.

The Aces offense took a 1-0 lead in the first, but was held silent over the next three frames. In the fifth, though, Reno scored five times-with four of those runs coming off back-to-back home runs by Stephen Drew and Ryan Wheeler. Reno pushed across three more runs in the seventh, and its lead was never threatened.

Tacoma spot-starter Jarrett Grube (0-4) took the loss, surrendering six runs on six hits over five innings of work.

Jake Elmore doubled in the seventh inning Wednesday, stretching his franchise-record hitting streak to 28 games. Adam Eaton scored twice and now has scored a run in 20-straight contests.

The Aces look to seal a series victory on Thursday evening at Cheney Stadium. LHP Patrick Corbin (3-1, 3.45 ERA) gets the nod for Reno, while Tacoma will counter with RHP Blake Beavan (0-0, 5.40 ERA). First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. PT, and the action can be heard live on Fox Sports Radio 630 AM in Reno or by visiting RenoAces.com.

The Aces will return home on Wednesday, June 27 to kick-off a seven-game homestand against the Fresno Grizzlies and Las Vegas 51s. Tickets are on-sale now at RenoAces.com, by calling (775) 334-7000 or by visiting the Aces Ballpark Ticket Office.
