Great Lakes Loons News Release

Tonight's game between the Great Lakes Loons and the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers has been sold out. It is the seventh sellout in the history of Dow Diamond. The game is the final contest of an eight game homestand for the Loons and features a post-game fireworks show, powered by Dow Corning.

The next chance to catch Loons baseball at Dow Diamond is a brief two-game home stretch between the Loons and the West Michigan Whitecaps of Grand Rapids. The Whitecaps feature some of the brightest prospects in the Detroit Tigers' organization and are managed by former Tigers third baseman Tom Brookens. Loons manager Lance Parrish and Brookens were teammates with the Tigers and were both members of the 1984 World Champions.

Monday night's game features a Lou E. Loon Poster Giveaway for the first 3,500 fans of all ages, presented by F.P. Horak. On Tuesday, local high school students will participate in the pre-game Science of Baseball fair, presented by Dow Corning. Monday and Tuesday's games begin at 7:05pm. Great seats are still available for the first-ever meeting at Dow Diamond between the Loons and Whitecaps by calling 989-837-BALL, by visiting the Loons' ticket office at Dow Diamond, or by logging on to Loons.com.
