February 10, 2012 - ECHL (ECHL)
Trenton Titans News Release

CINCINNATI - For the first time in six games, the Titans (15-24-3-4-37) picked up a point. That was the upside.

But a period of 4:39 was the key to this game, as the Cyclones, (22-15-0-6-50), -who are 17-4 at home in the U.S Bank Arena, rallied from a 4-1 deficit to tie the game at 4-4, send it into overtime and win, 5-4, in a shootout Friday night.

Corey Syvret had given the Titans a 4-1 lead with 18:19 remaining in the game. But Cincinnati's Justin Vaive, Dan Eves and Robert Slaney all scored within that 4:39 period to spoil what had been a strong Titans effort until that point.

Rob Bordson scored his 16th goal to open the scoring 3:03 into the game. The Titans then took a 2-0 lead on Chase Langeraap's sixth goal at 7:03. Eves scored his first of two to make it 2-1 at 14:27.

Adam Presizniak's ninth goal, on the power play 1:01 into the second period, gave the Titans a 3-1 lead that carried into the final stanza.

Nick Neidert played solidly in his first Titans start, making several key saves, including one on Eves in overtime, that sent the game to a shootout. He stopped 31-of-35 as the Titans were outshot 36-25

The Titans, who dropped to 0-4 in shootouts. Play at Wheeling Saturday night before returning home to face Elmira at 4 p.m. Sunday.
