Game Preview: Express at South Carolina Tonight

Tonight's Matchup:

Chicago is riding a season-high five game winning streak coming into tonight's game, dating back to a 3-0 win over the Cincinnati Cyclones on January 28. The Express won the first three games of the current trip, which began last Wednesday, as Chicago defeated the Trenton Titans and the Elmira Jackals. The Stingrays come into the contest five points ahead of Chicago in the Eastern Conference standings, however the Express have played three fewer games. South Carolina is 0-3-0-0 in their last three games. They come into tonight's contest following a 4-1 loss at the hands of the Greenville Road Warriors on Tuesday, February 7.

Express Notes:

Chicago has not fared well against South Division teams, as the Express are 0-4-3 against the South Division this season... The Express will be without their second leading scorer, as LW Chad Painchaud was placed on the 7-day IR on Monday and is not available tonight... D Scott Wietecha is riding a three game goal-scoring streak, in which he has tallied four goals... G Peter Mannino is expected to start his 12 straight game tonight. He has surrendered just 29 goals and has a 2.60 GAA and .914 save percentage during that span.
