TinCaps to Put Fans' Photos on Jerseys
July 8, 2014 - Midwest League (MWL1)
Fort Wayne TinCaps News Release
FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The 2014 season at Parkview Field has been one of BIG FUN, and the TinCaps want to thank their fans for their support.
"We believe we have the best fans in Minor League Baseball," said Michael Limmer, TinCaps Vice President - Marketing.
That's why Friday, August 29 will be Fan Appreciation Night at Parkview Field for Fort Wayne's 7:05 p.m. game against the West Michigan Whitecaps. This year the TinCaps look to express their appreciation on their sleeves - literally. With permission, the team will be using photos of fans for their Fan Appreciation Night jerseys. Here's how it'll work...
If fans "like" or "comment" on the TinCaps' Facebook post regarding Fan Appreciation Night jerseys by Monday, July 14 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, the team will put their Facebook profile pictures on Fort Wayne's one-of-a-kind jerseys.
Within the first hour of posting, more than 100 fans had liked or commented on the TinCaps' post.
"We'll be able to fit hundreds of fans' photos on the jersey," Limmer said.
These Fan Appreciation Night jerseys will be given away, right off the players' backs, at random to fans in attendance during the game on Friday, August 29. Fans must be present to win.
For tickets to Fan Appreciation Night on Friday, August 29, or for any TinCaps game, fans can visit TinCaps.com, call 260-482-6400, or stop by the Parkview Field Ticket Office.
Please note: By "liking" or "commenting on" the TinCaps' Fan Appreciation Night jerseys Facebook post, fans are granting permission to use their photo not only on the jersey, but also in promotional material leading up to the game. Also, images deemed inappropriate will not be included on the jersey design.
