MIDLAND, Mich. - Matt DeVries, who has served both ESPN 100.9-FM and the Great Lakes Loons in a variety of capacities, has been named the station's new Program Director/Content Manager.
In his new role, DeVries will oversee programming of the radio station and oversee content on all webpages and social media (Loons, ESPN 100.9-FM and State Street Restaurant).
A 2013 Central Michigan University graduate, DeVries joined ESPN 100.9-FM as a producer in January, 2014. He's appeared on Loons and Saginaw Valley League broadcasts in 2013-14, and has served as a Communications Intern the past two years.
"We're very pleased to have Matt take on this new role," said ESPN 100.9-FM General Manager Jerry O'Donnell. "Matt has proven himself as a hard-working, capable teammate. Given his specific expertise in web and social media management, Matt will be helpful in integrating our on-air content with our digital presence."
ESPN 100.9-FM (WLUN, Pinconning) is a 24-hour all-sports station owned by the non-profit Michigan Baseball Foundation. The station is the flagship station of Great Lakes Loons baseball and carries a weekday lineup of Mike and Mike in the Morning, The Herd with Colin Cowherd, SVP & Russillo, and the Huge Show with Bill Simonson.
