TinCaps Release 2016 Season Schedule
August 26, 2015 - Midwest League (MWL1)
Fort Wayne TinCaps News Release
FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- With just 13 games remaining in the 2015 Midwest League regular season, the TinCaps are the favorites to clinch the Eastern Division in the second half. But if that isn't exciting enough, now fans can also look ahead to 2016. During the final five home games of the year, the TinCaps will distribute free 16-month calendars presented by Parkview Physicians Group - featuring the team's 2016 season schedule. Fans can grab their calendar on August 28 and 29 or during the last series of the season from September 5-7.
2016 Fort Wayne TinCaps Schedule
"Even though there is a ways to go this season that will hopefully include a long and successful playoff run for the TinCaps, 2016 looks like the best schedule we've ever had at Parkview Field," TinCaps President Mike Nutter said.
Opening Day at Parkview Field in 2016 will take place on Saturday, April 9 at 6:05 p.m. against the Lake County Captains. Fort Wayne's season begins before that on the road at Lake County on Wednesday, April 7.
The TinCaps' 2016 slate at Parkview Field is set to include 32 games with fireworks, including the Fourth of July against the South Bend Cubs. Fort Wayne will also be home the evening of the Three Rivers Festival Finale fireworks show on Saturday, July 16. The TinCaps will release their full promotional schedule for 2016 later this fall.
"The schedule will include the most fireworks shows in team history as well as our very popular theme nights, Thirsty Thursdays and Family Feast nights," Nutter said. "Our biggest thanks go out to the fans for their amazing support."
Through 60 home games in 2015 (20 of which have been sellouts), the TinCaps have drawn more fans per game than any other season at Parkview Field. With an average attendance of 5,886 this season, Fort Wayne has outdrawn more than a third of Triple-A franchises and 27 of 30 Double-A clubs. Out of all Class A teams, only Dayton has posted higher numbers than Fort Wayne.

- 70 Home games
- 32 Post-game fireworks shows

- 11 Friday theme nights
- 11 Thirsty Thursday games
