TinCaps-Loons Rained Out
April 25, 2010 - Midwest League (MWL1)
Fort Wayne TinCaps News Release
MIDLAND, Mich. - The series finale between the TinCaps and the Great Lakes Loons was rained out Sunday at Dow Diamond. Heavy rains and high winds in central Michigan forced the game to be delayed by 37 minutes, after which the field was deemed unplayable.
The TinCaps do not play at Dow Diamond again in the first half, so the game will be made up on May 26 as part of a doubleheader beginning at 11:05 a.m. at Parkview Field.
Fort Wayne and Great Lakes split the two games in the series. The TinCaps won on Friday, 2-1, then the Loons scored a comeback win on Saturday, 5-4.
The TinCaps have Monday off, then get back to action at Parkview Field on Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. against the South Bend Silver Hawks (Class-A Arizona Diamondbacks). Starting pitchers are to be determined.
