Lansing Lugnuts News Release

LANSING, Mich. - The Lansing Lugnuts, in conjunction with the Toronto Blue Jays, announced Sunday that right-handed pitcher Dave Sever has been placed on the 7-day Disabled List retroactive to April 22. In a corresponding move, right-handed pitcher Casey Beck has been transferred to the Lugnuts roster from Extended Spring Training.

The 23-year-old Sever was 1-1 with a 3.71 ERA in three starts with the Lugnuts in 2010, his first season in the Midwest League. He was replaced in the starting rotation for today's game by right-hander Scott Gracey.

Beck, 23, posted a 1-3 record for Auburn last season with a 2.84 ERA and 10 saves in 29 appearances. He was originally drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 8th round in 2008 and was signed by Toronto as a free agent on April 8, 2009.

The Lansing Lugnuts' official roster is attached, containing 25 active players and four players on the DL. Lansing finishes off a three-game series at home today against Dayton, first pitch set for 2:05 p.m.
