PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Timbers play host to Orlando City SC, in a match presented by Oregon Lottery, on Thursday, July 18, at Providence Park; kickoff is set for 7 p.m. (Pacific) on ESPN. The Timbers then travel for a road match against Cascadia-rival Seattle Sounders FC on Sunday, July 21, at CenturyLink Field; kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. (Pacific) on FS1. Both matches feature local radio broadcasts on 1029 and 750 The Game (English) and La GranD 1150AM/93.5 FM (Spanish).

Recent form

Portland (7-8-3, 24pts) is unbeaten in its last four matches in all competitions, with a record of 3-0-1. At Providence Park, the Timbers also are unbeaten in their last four home matches overall (3-0-1), outscoring their opponents 11-2 with three shutouts during that span. On the road in league play, Portland has registered five wins in 2019, which ranks as the second-most road wins in MLS. Across all competitions, the Timbers have four wins in their last five road games.

Against the Eastern Conference

Thursday's match against Orlando City marks the fifth meeting all-time between the two sides. Portland recorded a 3-0 win against Orlando City in the last meeting at Providence Park on Sept. 25, 2017. In four career games against Orlando City, Diego Valeri has scored three goals. This season, the Timbers have posted a record of 4-2-0 against Eastern Conference sides, registering all four wins on the road. Thursday's match against Orlando City marks Portland's first match against an Eastern Conference club at home in 2019. In matches against the Eastern Conference at Providence Park in 2018, the Timbers were 4-0-2.

Against Seattle

Portland has earned a result in four of its last five matches with Sounders FC, including the playoffs and U.S. Open Cup. The Timbers recorded a 2-1 win over Seattle in the U.S. Open Cup on June 12, 2019, and advanced to the Western Conference Championship in the Audi 2018 MLS Cup Playoffs with a dramatic 4-2 win in penalty kicks on Nov. 8 at CenturyLink Field. The Timbers won the last regular-season match at CenturyLink Field on June 30, 2018, with a 3-2 victory behind brace from Larrys Mabiala.

Next match

The Timbers return to Providence Park to play host to the LA Galaxy on Saturday, July 27. Beginning at 7:30 p.m. (Pacific), the match will feature a national television broadcast on FS1 with local radio broadcasts on 1029 and 750 The Game (English) and La GranD 1150AM/93.5 FM (Spanish).
