New England Revolution News Release

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution (6-8-6, 24 pts.) return home to host Vancouver Whitecaps FC (4-9-8, 20 pts.) on Wednesday, July 17 at Gillette Stadium. The match kicks off at 7:00 p.m. ET, televised locally on NBC Sports Boston with Brad Feldman, Paul Mariner, and Naoko Funayama calling the action. Authenticated subscribers may also stream the match on NBCSportsBoston.com and on the NBC Sports app. The match airs locally on the radio with 98.5 The Sports Hub broadcasting the action in English and 1260 AM Nossa Radio providing Portuguese commentary.

The Revolution enter Wednesday's match on a league-best eight-game unbeaten run in regular season play (4-0-4), after playing to a 2-2 draw against D.C. United at Audi Field on July 12. This season, the Revs are also unbeaten against Western Conference sides, having posted a 5-0-2 record against the west. The Revs hold a 4-2-3 all-time advantage against Whitecaps FC, including a 3-1-1 mark at home. Forward Teal Bunbury, who owns six goals in the team's last seven overall games, notched the lone goal in the sides' last meeting at Gillette Stadium, a 1-0 Revs victory on Aug. 12, 2017.

The Revolution's newest Designated Player, Argentine forward Gustavo Bou, is poised to potentially make his Major League Soccer and club debuts on Wednesday night. Last week, the 29-year-old became the first player brought in by Sporting Director and Head Coach Bruce Arena, and has since been officially added to the club's roster after receiving his P-1 visa. Bou brings 12 years of experience across Argentina, Mexico, and Ecuador, most recently with Club Tijuana where he tallied more than 21 goals in two seasons. He began his professional career with South American powerhouse Club Atlético River Plate in 2008, and also excelled with 48 goals in more than 100 total games with Racing Club.

Following Wednesday's match, New England returns to action on Sunday, July 21 for a road meeting with FC Cincinnati at Nippert Stadium in the teams' second and final meeting this season. That contest kicks off at 6:00 p.m. ET and will air locally on NBC Sports Boston, and locally on the radio on 98.5 The Sports Hub and 1260 AM Nossa Radio.
