Brek Shea to Undergo Season-Ending Knee Surgery

ATLANTA - Atlanta United today announced defender Brek Shea will undergo season-ending surgery to repair a right knee injury. Shea suffered the injury during Atlanta's match at Seattle Sounders on Sunday and will be placed on the season ending injury list.
Shea, 29, saw action in 19 matches with 10 starts and totaled 907 minutes for Atlanta United this season. He recorded one assist in a 3-1 win against Montreal Impact on June 29.
Atlanta United (9-8-3, 30 points) returns to action Wednesday, July 17 against Houston Dynamo at Mercedes-Benz Stadium (7:00 p.m., FOX Sports South, Sports Radio 92-9 The Game).
