
MLS Disciplinary Committee Decisions Announced

NEW YORK - The MLS Disciplinary Committee has issued an additional game suspension (two games total) and an additional undisclosed fine to D.C. United forward Luciano Acosta for violent conduct during the 71st minute of D.C.'s match against FC Dallas on July 4. Acosta, who initially received a red card for the incident, served his first match suspension on July 12 against the New England Revolution and will serve his additional game suspension on July 18 against FC Cincinnati. The MLS Disciplinary Committee has also issued an undisclosed fine to Acosta for failing to leave the field in a timely manner following his red card on July 4.
The MLS Disciplinary Committee has issued New England Revolution midfielder Wilfried Zahibo an undisclosed fine for failing to leave the field in a timely and orderly manner following his red card in the 63rd minute of New England's match against D.C. United on July 12.
The MLS Disciplinary Committee has issued Portland Timbers defender Julio Cascante an undisclosed fine for failing to leave the field in a timely manner following his red card in the 55th minute of Portland's match against the Colorado Rapids on July 13.
MLS fines Toronto FC forward Jozy Altidore for comments regarding officiating
MLS Commissioner Don Garber announced today that Toronto FC forward Jozy Altidore has been fined an undisclosed amount for his social media comments on June 30 that were subsequently published. These comments are in violation of the league's public criticism policy.
