Thunder Win Three out of Four : This past weekend, Wichita finished a busy week with wins in three out of four games and now sits atop the Berry Conference with 16 points. The Thunder extended its winning streak to four games this past Saturday with a dramatic come-from behind victory over Missouri. Down three goals, the Thunder scored five unanswered and held on to beat the Mavericks 5-4. However, that streak was snapped Sunday afternoon as Tulsa scored two third period goals to upend Wichita 4-3. With an 8-2-0 record, Wichita has tied its best start in franchise history through the first 10 games dating back to the 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons.

No Lead is Safe : This past Saturday wasn't the first time Wichita has fallen behind early in a game and later found a way to come back and pull out a win. In fact, Wichita has come back from a three goal deficit twice and a two goal hole once. The other time Wichita fell behind 3-0 was on October 22nd against the Allen Americans and pulled out a shootout victory, 4-3. Against Tulsa on October 28th, the Thunder trailed 2-0 before scoring six unanswered goals en route to a 6-2 win.

Chasing History: 12-year veteran Daniel Tetrault is approaching an impressive milestone. With three more points this past week, Tetrault is just five points shy (164 ) of former Thunder defenseman Sean O'Reilly for the franchise lead in most points scored by a Thunder defenseman. O'Reilly played 311 games from 1997-02, scoring 169 points during that span while Tetrault has played 251 games in a Thunder uniform.

We're Going Streaking: Brett Hemingway and Aaron Davis continue to produce offensively. Hemingway currently has a six game scoring streak, has scored in four out of the last five and has had points in nine of the first 10 games while Davis is in the midst of a five game scoring streak. Hemingway leads the team with 13 points (6g, 7a) while Davis (4g, 7a) is tied for second with Andrew Martens (5g, 6a) and Colin Hemingway (5g, 6a) with 11 points.

Jumping Into the Play: Thunder defensemen Andrew Martens and Daniel Tetrault are at the top of the CHL scoring for defensemen. Martens leads the league with 11 points while Tetrault is in second with nine (4g, 5a). The next closest Wichita defender is Jarred Mohr with four points(2g, 2a), who leads the league in plus/minus (+13).

Minute of Madness: Towards the beginning and end of periods this season, Wichita has had the magic touch. The Thunder has scored in the first minute of a period four times this year with the fastest being on October 28th in Tulsa, a goal from Matt Summers 26 seconds in. In the last minute of a period, Wichita has also scored four times, giving Coach McClelland's team momentum going into the locker room.

Special Teams: The Thunder power play continues to improve, jumping up to fifth overall after going five for 19 this past week. Wichita is 11 for 51 with the man advantage, averaging at a clip of 21.6% and is second overall on the road, going 8 for 25 for 32%.
