Trenton Thunder News Release

(Trenton, NJ) - On Wednesday, July 28, fans attending the 12:05 pm Trenton Thunder vs. the New Britain Rock Cats game will be able to receive an official "excused absence" from work.

The Thunder will provide participating fans with a slip that will indicate that the fan was suffering from a lack of fun, and that there was only one cure: a day at the ballpark. Thunder General Manager, Will Smith, will sign the slip to ensure that no employee is accused of skipping work without a valid excuse.

Fans will be able to stop by AAA Guest Services Center on the main concourse the day of the game to request an "excused absence" slip. If they would like to receive a slip in advance they can contact the Thunder front office any weekday prior to the game between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm.

Employers that recognize their employees are uninspired and fatigued have the option to purchase $8 group tickets and request special "Boss Endorsed" absence slips for their employees. The minimum group ticket purchase on Wednesdays is 10. Bosses who decide to bring their employees out to the ballpark for this promotion will receive a complimentary Trenton Thunder hat. The Thunder are currently in the playoff hunt, and their unique blend of winning baseball, great food and quality entertainment have proven to cure even the most lethal cases of employee lethargy.

"A healthy and happy workforce is more productive," said Thunder General Manager, Will Smith. "We hope many employees and employers take advantage of this opportunity to relax, have some fun and get rejuvenated."

Gates will open at 11:05 am. Tickets can be reserved by calling the Trenton Thunder ticket office at 609-394-3300 ext 101 or online at trentonthunder.
