Wichita Thunder News Release

Wichita, KS- The Wichita Thunder is pleased to partner with 97.1 BOB FM in an effort to help raise money for a Kansas youth who has been diagnosed with an awful disease.

Four year-old Brinlyn Sanders was diagnosed with an inoperable brain stem tumor this past October and is seeking funds to help her obtain experimental treatment in Houston, TX. Brinlyn is a resident of St. John, KS. Starting cost for this treatment is $100,000 and the family has reached out to help save their daughter.

The Thunder and BOB FM are currently helping to raise money for the Brinlyn Sanders Medical Fund. Discounted tickets are available through the Wichita Thunder office and for every ticket purchased by asking for the Brinlyn Sanders Medical Fundraiser to the Thunder game on Friday, December 16th, a $5 donation per ticket through the fundraiser will be made on her behalf. Donations are being taken directly at St. John National Bank in St. John, KS. For more information, please contact Sherri Penka at (316) 264-GOAL. Help bring a Christmas Miracle to the Sanders Family.

The Thunder host the Fort Wayne Komets tonight at 7:05pm. Wichita is second in attendance right behind Fort Wayne. Tonight is also Speedy Cash Buy-In Night.
