Dayton Gems Team Up With Marines To Collect "Toys For Tots" This Sunday

Dayton, OH - The Dayton Gems professional hockey team, members of the Central Hockey League, are proud to announce that they have partnered with the Marines annual Toys For Tots program to collect donations for local children in need this holiday season.

Fans will be encouraged to drop off their donations this Sunday afternoon when the Gems host the Bloomington Blaze on Cassano's Italian Ice inside the historic Hara Arena. Members of the Marines will be on hand inside the Hara Arena main lobby to collect the donated toys beginning at 3pm when the gates open to the public. Sunday's game is set for a 4pm matinee start.

"As we approach the holidays, teaming up with the Marines to collect Toys For Tots allows us to continue our goal as an organization to make a difference right here in the Miami Valley" noted Gems Director of Community Relations JT Szabo.

In addition, the Gems will offer fans that make a donation with a special "Buy-One, Get-One Free" ticket deal on Center Ice zone seats (a $14 savings) when purchased on game day. Fans who attend the game wearing any NFL attire can also receive $2 off any end zone ticket when purchased at the Hara Box Office (offers cannot be combined).

The Gems return home on Sunday, December 18 to host the Bloomington Blaze on Cassano's Italian Ice inside Hara Arena at 4pm. Sunday's game features the season's first "postgame skate with the Gems" immediately following the conclusion of the contest, and the first 1,000 fans through the gates starting at 3pm receiving a limited edition Bryan Hogan poster.
