Dayton Gems News Release
Dayton, OH - The Dayton Gems professional hockey team, members of the Central Hockey League, are proud to announce that they have partnered with the Marines annual Toys For Tots program to collect donations for local children in need this holiday season.
Fans will be encouraged to drop off their donations this Sunday afternoon when the Gems host the Bloomington Blaze on Cassano's Italian Ice inside the historic Hara Arena. Members of the Marines will be on hand inside the Hara Arena main lobby to collect the donated toys beginning at 3pm when the gates open to the public. Sunday's game is set for a 4pm matinee start.
"As we approach the holidays, teaming up with the Marines to collect Toys For Tots allows us to continue our goal as an organization to make a difference right here in the Miami Valley" noted Gems Director of Community Relations JT Szabo.
In addition, the Gems will offer fans that make a donation with a special "Buy-One, Get-One Free" ticket deal on Center Ice zone seats (a $14 savings) when purchased on game day.
