Fort Worth Brahmas News Release
TULSA, Oklahoma (December 13) - The Brahmas led the Oilers 2-1 in the second period Tuesday night, but could not hold on as Tulsa fought back to sin 4-2.
The Brahmas got out to an early lead as Jordan Kary put home a rebound after Tulsa netminder Ian Keserich saved a T.J. Fox wrister. For the rookie Kary, it was his seventh goal of the season. The Oilers got a goal back before the end of the first period when Jeff Terminesi fired a slapshot by Texas goalie Mark Guggenberger.
The Brahmas scored first in the second period as well, going ahead 2-1 behind Chad Woollard's tenth goal of the season. Woollard has been scorching hot of late, now with eight goals in his last 10 games.
Just as they did in the first period, the Oilers evened the score before the end of the second period, this time on a goal from Ryan Cramer as he snuck one through Guggenberger's five hole at the 14:47 mark.
David Solway put the Oilers in front for the first time of the night just over seven minutes into the third period, and the Brahmas were unable to get any late-game heroics as they have been accustomed to in recent games. Michael Beausoleil added an empty netter with one second remaining in the game, giving Tulsa the 4-2 victory over the Brahmas.here
Before heading home, Texas will make a stop in Allen to take on the crosstown rival Americans on Friday, December 16 at the Allen Event Center. The Brahmas then return to the NYTEX Sports Centre on Saturday, December 17 to face off against the Rapid City Rush at 7:30pm on Autograph Night and the Wichita Thunder on Sunday, December 18 at 4:00pm.
