Wichita Thunder News Release
WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Thunder has suffered the loss of former defenseman Connor MacDonald, whose life was taken in a traffic accident last weekend.
MacDonad was struck by a vehicle early Sunday morning in Florida's Volusia County where he had been studying motorcycle mechanics. MacDonald was originally from the Canadien province of Prince Edward Island.
"This is a very sad moment for everyone who had the chance to know Connor", said Thunder General Manager Joel Lomurno. "Connor was a hard worker and quality human being both on and off the ice. The Thunder family extends its condolences to Connor's family."
A gritty defenseman, MacDonald played four seasons of professional hockey, including two for the Thunder from 2008-2009 and passes at the age of 25.
