Killer Bee Goalie Juliano Pagliero Named Oakley CHL Goalie of the Week

The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees goalie Juliano Pagliero has been named the Oakley CHL Goalie of the Week. Pagliero went 1-0-1 over the past weekend allowing only one goal on 70 shots. Pagliero pitched his first shutout of the season on Saturday night in the Bees 2-0 victory over Mississippi making 40 saves.

Pagliero finished the weekend with a goals-against-average of under 0.5 and a save percentage of .986. For the season Pagliero has a goals-against-average of 1.95 and save percentage of .941.

"Juliano was phenomenal all weekend. He saw the puck really well and looked like a natural between the pipes." Killer Bees coach Chris Brooks continued. "He was a real difference maker for us this weekend."

Inside of the CHL, Pagliero leads the league in saves made at 192, leads the league in minutes played at 369:33 and is currently tied for third in goals-against and second in save percentage.

The Killer Bees open a two game home stand this weekend at State Farm Arena. The Bees will host the Odessa Jackalopes for two games, both starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available by calling 956-843-PUCK (7825) or visiting ticketmaster.com.
