Dayton Gems News Release
Dayton, OH- The Dayton Gems Ownership Group in conjunction with WWRD announced today that the schedule for the Gems games that will be televised this season through tape delay on WWRD will be pushed back until next Thursday, November 11th for the game against the Fort Wayne Komets.
"We are excited about our Partnership with the Dayton Gems Hockey Team. For several months we have been getting all of the technical logistics in place to be able to produce and telecast games from Hara Arena," said WWRD General Manager Anthony Byrd. "Due to technical complications, our original schedule was postponed, delaying us from starting earlier in the season. We are installing equipment that will enable us to send the signal back to our station from Hara Arena on a regular basis. We owe it to the Gems fans and our viewers to deliver a top notch broadcast that will look good and start on time. We want to give them the experience they expect in professional hockey."
The updated schedule for the season is listed below, the cancellation of this Friday (November 5th) and Saturday (November 6th) versus Colorado and the addition of next Friday (November 12th) versus Arizona is the only change to the schedule. Every other game that was originally announced after next week throughout the remainder of the season will be aired as previously planned.
For Time Warner Digital customers, WWRD can be found on Digital channel 997 and channel 22 in the select Greene and Clark County areas for customers without digital cable. For all other Time Warner customers, check local listings for a channel near you. As of this time WWRD is not available on Satellite Television, but that is also subject to change in the next year.
